About Album

We Love We Leave…. the beauty of meeting and parting…

With its unique dreamy electro-rock music, the band had since its debut in 2011, initially generated a definite buzz from overseas fans and critics. Moreover, with continuous participation in international festivals such as South By Southwest, CMJ Music Marathon and Culture Collide, the band has gained more recognition domestically as well. At the end of 2014, the band received the K-Rookies Finals’ Runner-up award (sponsored by Korea Creative Content Agency).

LXS’s most important objective was to define their special identity within its own rich sound. It’s all about the 90s vibe, strong synth sounds, and refreshing vocals. Consisting simple yet insightful concepts about meeting and parting, the EP contains seven songs in total, two new songs and five deluxe editions of fan favorites.

The first track ‘We Love We Leave’ contains straightforward lyrics and melodies with a dynamic synth pop vibe, which fully exemplifies their values of love and farewell.

“We walk / We sleep / We play / We dream / We die / We breathe / We love / We leave”

Just like walking, sleeping, playing or breathing, meeting and parting are nothing more than just natural phases of our lives, which implies that neither love nor life can last forever. This lyrical honesty runs throughout whole EP, but [We Love We Leave, Part 1] is focused on warm ‘love’, rather than cold ‘goodbyes’.

Fourth track ‘My Anywhere’ – one of the most accessible dance tracks of the bunch – is the perfect example of this principle with plenty of love.

If you are already a LXS fan, you will get to enjoy the improved versions of favorites like ‘Chain Reaction’ and ‘Soul City (Seoul City’) even more, and if you are new to the band, you will be welcomed into a world of mystical intensity. But don’t forget that this EP represents a starting point of 2015. For Love X Stereo, 2015 is a new beginning. Throughout the year, fans will be able to expect many more of its simple yet sophisticated music.

We Love We Leave

Can we live together?
Can we live together?
Can we live together? Together?
Can we live forever?
Can we live forever?
Can we live forever? Forever?
We walk
We sleep
We play
We dream
We die
We breathe
We love
We leave

Chain Reaction (Deluxe Edition)

Seize the time. Hello, sunshine.
I’ll meet you by the dawn.
I feel a sudden sense of healing.
Another life has come.
You took my hand with no hesitation.
Your kindness spreads in all.
A kiss, a touch, with a heart of wonder,
Our tale has just begun.
Hello.
Release the night. Let go, twilight.
I’ll be here by the glow.
You see the signs, and you hear the whispers.
Another life has gone.
Hold me tight. You don’t have to worry,
Cause death won’t tear us apart.
High glow up there with all your possibilities,
And spread my love to all.
Hello.
Everything is a chain reaction.

Ocean Breeze (Deluxe Edition)

Come to me, to the open sea
We were swimming by, by the ocean breeze
Come away with me, I can show you why
It’s a fantasy, deep inside your dreams
Come away with me, tell me more
These words will stay beneath the silence
Being away with you is enough
Got so much more to talk about you, baby
Come to me, to the open sea
We were swimming by, by the symphony
Come away with me, I can show you why
It’s a melody, it’s the one you sing
Come away with me, tell me more
Got nothing left to hide about it
Being away with you is enough
Got so much more to talk about you, baby
(What you want is here, just come away with me.)

My Anywhere

You are my temple when my heart is on the line
You are my theater when my vision is out of sight
You are my prison cause I lose it all the time
You are my anywhere, the truth is I don’t mind
You own my love
You bring me to the other side
You own my love
You bring me to another time

Fly Over (Deluxe Edition)

You got me wasted
You got me so high
You got me so burning up inside I’ll lose my mind
Let’s meet in the middle
Or meet in the sky
We’ll live in ecstasy until the end of time
You got me sedated
You got me so high
You got me so burning up inside I’ll lose my mind
Let’s meet in the day
Or meet in the night
We’ll live in ecstasy until the end of time
We fly over
We fly over
We stretch out from city to city
Gonna rock this town like crazy

Free Ass (Deluxe Edition)

Smoky eyes and skinny jeans, red pumps
Dirty moves and swingy black hair, she stands out.
She didn’t need to care what they say about chastity.
She’s on her way to get some white flesh.
She said, “I wanna have sex with Americans, Americans.”
He thinks he’s all over her head.
But all she ever wanted was hot sex instead.
“We don’t need to say it” (whoo)
“They know how we do it” (whoo)
Reading each other’s minds
They’re on their way to get some…. Um um…
She said, “I wanna have sex with Americans, Americans.”

Soul City (Seoul City) [Deluxe Edition]

I was walking down the streets of histories
I was weaving all the wasteful energies
I see million different faces in my dreams
Can’t tell if it’s fake or reality
I was driving my old bike along the stream
I got river veins right up to the sea
I see lovers being shy of kissing deep
Can’t take out the girl inside of me
Gotta take it slow this time (oh, no, no)
You don’t know where you are, cause you’re in my city
Gotta take it slow this time (oh, no, no)
You don’t know where you are, cause you’re in my city
I was climbing up the hills of industries
It seems no one speaking up unanimously
Get all dizzy in this town that never sleeps
Keep up with your drinks and then you’re free
Gotta take it slow this time (oh, no, no)
You don’t know where you are, cause you’re in my city
Gotta take it slow this time (oh, no, no)
You don’t really know where you are, you don’t know
Traffic jams, coffee burst, reveries
Order in almost anything with
Credit cards recommended to another
Plastic dream achieved to be an impersonator
Love the love and love the hate altogether
You won’t believe this town, cause you’re in my city
I was walking down the streets of mysteries
I’m still counting on hopeful energies
I’m in heaven or in hell or in between
Can’t tell if it’s fake or reality
Gotta take it slow this time (oh, no, no)
You don’t really know where you are, you don’t know
Blue sky, gray churches and fast jeans
Hurry up, you can’t be lazy
This is probably the most safest place to be
Cause we got no guns, no anarchies
Fashion grows before the culture scene
You can’t leave this town, cause you’re in my city

Album Reviews

With a sound that reminds us of Coves and Young Romance, two of our favourites, Love X Stereo will soon shed the underdog status. They released a 7-track EP earlier this year, We Love We Leave Pt. 1, which you can hear in its entirety on SoundCloud or purchase on Bandcamp. A couple of tracks from the album are below.

The Revue

It feel like every time Love X Stereo is ready to explode, something holds them back. Now a duo, Love X Stereo are using 2015 as a rebirth for the band. We Love We Leave, Part 1 makes this apparent. The EP contains two new songs with their older songs getting a new shine. Hopefully, Part 1 serves as the final introduction to the band and Part 2 is the first step forward.

Chris P (Korean Indie)

(Love X Stereo is) about to release the Part.2 of “We Love We Leave.” I had a wonderful opportunity to interview Annie, the vocalist of the band. Toby plays guitar and base. Identifying themselves as the “ultimate 90s’ kids” in an interview with K-Sound, Annie says they draw inspiration from a wide range of music as well as happenings around the world.
